Dig the NATO look, but don't understand the point of that extra layer of strap behind the case? I can relate, so I put these guys together. A simple, classic utilitarian strap that works with dive suits and tuxedos.
These Zulu straps are made with Rocado Shell Cordovan, made by one of the best tanneries in Italy. This is a fully vegetable tanned leather with a supple feel and smooth, buttery texture.
Shell Cordovan is widely considered to be the very best leather around, and has some very unique properties - which is why it costs 10x more than most other leathers. Don't take my word, spend 5 minutes on Google and read up on this fascinating material. You know that layer of keratin horses have evolved to protect themselves from predators grabbing them from behind? That's the shell in "Shell Cordovan". It's super durable, resistant to creasing and water, and ages well. It really is amazing stuff.
Like all leather, these straps will patina over time with exposure to sun and skin oils, and will likely darken some.
These are a little thinner than most leather straps, and shouldn't require curved spring bars, but I'll include them anyway. They're long enough to fold back under the rings, but are easily trimmed if that's not your jam (obviously they can't be returned if trimmed).
All my straps are 21mm, so they fit 20mm and 22mm lugs well. I'll send both sizes of spring bars.
